Some great audio from the Emergent Midwest gathering.
What I really enjoy is that someone took seriously a suggestion I made earlier this year that events like this need counterintuitive voices - people who don't quite buy into the "emerging church" movement. If a group values diversity, then it needs to involve diverse voices... I think that only helps lend sight to the blind spots.

Church in our day is weird.
I'm all for sharing authentic events. I'm all for emotional worship.
But for crying out loud, when did we let church get so testosterone intolerant?
And why should we throw reason, logic and dogma out the window?
Sometimes I think the the question should not be, "How emergent are you?" But, instead it should be, "Just how emergent do you really want to be?"
And remember, I'm from the most conservative tradition in the country.

I said:
"RIGHT ON MAN, RIGHT ON!" well said...
compromise ALWAYS leads to irrelevance...always...
No, it always doesn't... sometimes it does, though.
Hi Tony. Seems like you are doing well. It has been awhile since I dropped a line.
