epilogue: connecting with Grace

Last week I asked you to join me in praying for a baby named Grace whom I don't know nor do I have any attachment to. Her situation was dim, and all hope seemed lost. That's why we turned to God in prayer.

For those of you who did pray a serious prayer, thanks.

Here's the update:

  1. The nurses hear crying from Grace's room. "That's impossible," they think, "because she has a breathing tube!"
  2. The nurses rush to her room... Grace has pulled out her breathing tube. She is breathing on her own just fine.
  3. "Huh?"
  4. The doctors checked her out and said her optic nerve is "just right" for someone her age. She may very well end up not being blind after all.
  5. "Huh?"

Sometimes when we pray and ask for something, the Lord says "no." Other times He tells us, "yes." He is always good, though, and is the slowest person who is always on time.

I love serving a God who keeps people saying, "Huh?"

"...You do not have, because you do not ask God." (James 4:2)
