the legend of veronica

So for anyone who has ever wondered, here's why you can't call me Veronica.

If after reading this epic tale you find that you have a comment, come back to this post to share your musings... if you dare to have any.

Ok, OK, I won't call you veronica, or Kenny for that matter. Hey I loved your crazy stories and those t shirts were really cool too :) They definately get people asking questions then they finally realize you really aren't crazy after all. And it's catchy :)

you just cant tell everyone the legend. Jake and I worked hard to get that and now any random blogger can get it

I am so glad you cleared that up! Are you selling those T-shirts?

I'd buy one :)

I actually plan on wearing that shirt at the convention today. It's always a great icebreaker.

I can sell you one if you'd like... only it's like me going to the local printer and making it up with plain text. I'll show you one online once I get a pic this weekend.

And Mike - you did work hard for the legend. But because of God's grace all legends have been set free. Likewise, the legend you knew was the "Old Testament" Veronica... there is a "New Testament" Veronica legend that is available for all... Jew or Gentile. :)

Absolutely... the more non-Veronica's the better.

There's another reason not to call you Veronica. I tried to recommend your blog to someone but forgot to paste and when they complained about no url, I went looking in Google. What I got was a lot of raunchy, sleazy blogs by Veronicas that certainly weren't Christian! I was happy when I finally found you again and promptly put you in my favorites folder.

thanks for making me laugh out loud before 6:30 am (not an easy thing to do)...this is totally off the wall but hilarious :)

no idea how you found my blog, but since you did, I decided to hit yours...this was the first place I landed and it's enough to make me keep looking around :)

Did the Elvis Costello song "Veronica" come into your train of thought? I did a prayer station for Veronica's Veil using the lyrics of his song in collage with images of Veronica's Veil; Veronica means "true image" in Latin and Greek.

"You can call me anything you like, but my name is Veronica."

--Elvis Costello, "Veronica" from the album Spike.

Tony,
You should make up a "my name isn't veronica" T-Shirt of Cafepress.

Sarah - I've honestly never heard the song but have heard of the connection before. Sounds like you're a fan!

Jason - that sounds like the next moneymaking idea!

Ditto to what Amy said except that it's before 7:45pm here (Aust.) which means it's quite an easy thing to do. (laugh that is)
Thanks for visiting my post about the 5 sense and for leaving a comment.
Of course, that site is derived from this blogger name but .....
Enjoy your day!

Tony,

I looked up the meaning of the name "Veronica" and I think maybe your goal should be to be called Veronica! Why? You're trying to be like Jesus, and "Veronica" means "true image"! So technically, you want to be a "veronica" of Jesus!

omigoodness, YOU are the orignial "don't call me Veronica" guy! Wow That is so cool. I have never seen that T-shirt and never wondered until I haplessly wandered onto your blog. All I can say is chalk one up for the kingdom and go, Veronica, go!

Ok, so I haven't seen the tee-shirt yet here in Michigan, but I will be on the look out. I like the concept and the evangelism tool. Grandma's toe is healing. Thanks.
