I guess it should be no surprise that my accent showed up as North Central... I am from Winnipeg, Canada (Very north, and very central). But I have one question... if it isn't "pop", what is it??
"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.
Wheee although if I want I can drop into the southern drawl quite quickly.

Even though I'm not American, I still have an American accent, apparently. How does that work? ;)
Dorky Internet Quiz...
Is the word "Dorky" unique to Inland Northerners? That word comes up most often when my oldest son likes to mimic my every sentence in the attempt to be funny and annoy. Suddenly I find myself saying, "I'm a Dork", and poof, he stops.

ah - the girl who grew up rarely more than an hour from the mississippi river in illinois and iowa has a south accent - my roots - southern illinois coming out.
