Lord, we pray for the families who received phone calls today... may they know Your presence in a way that draws them toward You. Help them to see You in this fallen situation... that even in a broken world that rejects You that You are good and long to touch their hearts.
We also pray that we might become the kind of people ourselves who know You intimately and live out the kind of lives You dream for us. May we reveal the Kingdom of heaven in the way we respond to this and each other.

Help us to choose reconciliation over retaliation...
prayer over gossip...
healing over hurting...
Christ over critique.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

well prayed
Amen. And as President Bush quoted the Bible today in his speech... "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good". Lord, that Your people will rise up to show the grief-stricken of V.Tech. Your hope, goodness, and power to heal every wounded heart that has resulted from this tragedy. Thank You, Father, that even in this horrendous massacre, You demonstrated sacrificial love through the professor who gave up his life to save his students. I pray that through this, even, that You will reveal Your love and the sacrifice that has been paid to save us all.
There are no words at times like this.
Amen
