another aspiring author

So my five-year old son wrote a book tonight.

Like... an actual book. Several pages with a story that actually makes sense.

He wrote the words himself (sounding them out when he didn't know) and drew out all the pages, too.


I imagine he'll be blogging soon, too.

It's not an issue if he starts blogging. The problems begin if he starts getting more traffic than you. :)

The fact that he's writing a book when I've been claiming to write one for years. Looks like he'll beat me to it. It feels humbling to know your son is smarter than I am.

i saw this thing once in a catalog where a kid can write his own book with pictures and send it in then the company makes it into an actual bound book...
just an idea

Good call. Actually, Kinko's is a block away from us so we may indulge once the budget allows. In the meantime, we put it into protective sleeves that clip into a binder. It actually reads well and has tension, plot, and resolution.
