national day of prayer

Today is the National Day of Prayer. I don't know if that means anything to you, but to me it's a chance to think a little larger in my prayers than I normally do.

That said, please post any prayer requests you may have... I'd love to partner with you in going before God with them.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should. (Ephesians 6:18-20)

We have a high school retreat this weekend in which there will be a number of unchurched students. Pray that God's presence would be felt and that students and staff a like would be drawn into a close(r) intimate walk with Jesus.

Thank you!

Lord, I want to lift up this retreat before you. I know that this is such a powerful time for students and that many can make emotional decisions that seem spiritual. I pray against that, and rather ask that you would move in ways that help students form relationships with you and each other and not just become committed to a youth ministry or a religion. May the leaders have energy and rediscover passion, and may the kingdom as a whole have a healthier future as a direct result of this event. I ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen."
