on the road again

Tanner and I are taking a road trip together... we're going to Chicago for some bad food today and a Sabbath workshop tomorrow.

So I'll be out of the loop a few days. Have fun!

Bad food!?!?!? I thought you said you were coming to Chicago. Since you'll be at my church tomorrow, why don't we get together and I'll show you some real food!

That's awesome. Wish I was close enough to attend one of those. Looking forward to reading your thoughts.

Hey guys... good stuff. I had no idea all these comments were here until Scott told me on the road. I had the chance to see Jamie ('sup, girl?) but missed Andy Jack (sorry bro!).

As per a couple of points, two things to clarify:

1) "Bad food" = "good food that is bad for you." Scott and I had the best pizza in the world (Gino's East - and don't tell me anything about Giordano's... Gino's East is the best and you know it.)

2) As per the meditative practices, these are things that many different religions practice - not to mention simple breathing techniques found in secular workshops. While many of these are rooted in things that you find in the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Bible, from Creation to the Exodus and subsequent Laws), anyone can take something God intended for one thing and use it for another. We do it all the time, from sex to things in our world we consume. The key in any of this (as our facilitator mentioned) is "What is your intention?" and "Where is your attention?"

So yeah... you'll find it all over in many beliefs, be it false or true. In the end you will either be more in tune with yourself, creation, or the one Creator behind it all.
