how available should a pastor be?

A couple of guys from 3x-church ministries hunt down some well-known pastors in order to see who is simply "available" to talk. If anyone actually answers they would win a nano iPod.

Give it a listen here (the phone calls start around 17 minutes in).

Nod to Tanner.

This is unbelieveable. I can't believe it is so hard to get pastors on the phone. Thanks for this man, it was worth listening too.

OK Tony, now you have to listen to episode 24. Its where they came up with the idea to call the pastors. But what is really amazing is what happens when a package is received at a Texas church from pureonline.com and the bomb squad is called in!

can you give us a summary? not sure I want to sit and listen to a 17+ minute sound file...at least not without knowing a little more...

I like Mike and Craig and their ministry, but I don't get the point of this. What are they trying to prove? That pastors of large churches don't have time to talk to them? Or that they need to have people screening their calls?Should we be shocked? Surprised? I don't get it. Why not call a church of 300? 200? It's nice that they got one on the phone, but the whole thing seems a little silly to me.

It was a bit silly. Then again, so is a pastor who is too professional for anyone's good. Boundaries are one thing... bubbles are another.
