thinking inside the box

Have you been waiting in long lines at the mall to get this year's must-have toy? Are you already in debt for a kid, buying the latest XBOX or iPod at retail or above prices? Or is it Christmas Eve and you find yourself still looking for that perfect gift?

Check this out... the National Toy Hall of Fame at the Strong Museum (Rochester, NY) has inducted one of the coolest and most cherished toys of childhood into its collection - the plain old cardboard box.

"I think every adult has had that disillusioning experience of picking what they think is a wonderful toy for a child, and then finding the kid playing with the box," explained Christopher Bensch, chief curator at Strong. "It's that empty box full of possibilities that the kids can sense and the adults don't always see." (AP)

So think inside the box... buy the XBOX for yourself and just give the kids the cardboard it came in.
"But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that." (1 Timothy 6:8)

Stopped by to wish you a Merry Christmas and found this post about the box. It is 100% true. My son, neices, nephews and every kid I know LOVED to play with boxes!

Wishing you and your family a very blessed holiday!
