rockin' rocks

"Jesus, take the wheel."

That's the phrase I just heard sung in the chorus of a Carrie Underwood song. It wasn't on the net, nor was it on a CD player I was listening to. It was on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Wow... rocks are crying out.

When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen: "Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!"

"I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out." (Luke 19:37-40)

Does that make Carrie Underwood a rock?

Wouldn't the rock thing only apply if Carrie wasn't a disciple? Suppose she is?

The rock reference was about how something as trivial as "The Tonight Show" can be used as an evangelistic tool.
