epilogue: oprah and dave

In case you missed the big show the other night, here's a quick snapshot of a peace offering that (the) Oprah offered Dave. It's a picture that both she and Uma Thurman signed, adding one last chuckle to the whole "Uma... Oprah... Oprah... Uma..." joke.

Getting to the heart of things, the two moved on to more promising topics, including the health care crisis in Africa, where (the) Oprah is opening a school to train girls she hand-picks from various villages. She even shared some personal stories about how motivated she's been to give back to others... rooted in an instance when she was little and nuns brought "Christmas" to her house one year when things were hard.

Letterman went above and beyond the call of reconciliation by walking (the) Orpah out of the building, hand in hand, across the street. There (the) Oprah was scheduled for opening night at her broadway version of "The Color Purple," to which Dave hammed it up in a dramatic gallant promenade across the street to her big Broadway opening.

So...

How long before Dave makes his next (the) Oprah joke?

Will (the) Oprah come back to the show anytime soon?

Time will tell... time will tell...

Does this mean that Africa is going to have a bunch of mini-oprahs running around?

Either that or a whole lot of more book clubs.
