Sometimes we're so thankful we're "not like those sinners" in the world... and yet:
- "Bashing people when they're not around to bring group unity is not a pretty way to play this game." - Rafe
- "This is a game about numbers, but it's also a game about respecting each other and I get really frustrated when we don't do that." - Rafe
And yet...
- But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. (1 Corinthians 1:27)

Well I agree with you on this, quite a bit actually. I figure this is why Paul said make sure your not a stumbling block or I am all things to all people.
You have to admit we are all extremely foolish. Mike Yaconelli was good at pointing that out to us. As cool and together we'd like to think we are is far from the truth. I love it when he says that when new people visit the church we should all appologize: "I'm sorry. We're the church. I know you were expecting more, but we are it."
This post is right on! I like the comments too!!! I'm going to ask my pastor if I can be the new greeter at our church so I can use the line above, "I'm sorry. We're the church. I know you were expecting more, but we are it."
Nice call, I just can't wait for Jamie to get voted off!
Rafe is right on with his assesments of the game, I only wish he'd voted for Jaime a couple of episodes ago.
Morman and gay... interesting.
Didn't know he was gay, Derek. Just had a hunch... interesting.
By the way - when are YOU going on Survivor?
I actually sent in a video & application for vanauato (sp?) & they selected Wanda the singing school teacher over me... go figure???
Keep applying, dude... you could totally be the "born again Christian who gets voted off the first episode because he brought a Human Torch action figure as a luxury item and has weirded everyone out" guy.
On the other hand, I could be the "can't stop talking about his wife and kids but seems like a good friend" guy who gets surprised in the third episode when everyone turns against me.
