speaking of tv themes

I'm at Panera doing some work on the laptop right now. You wouldn't believe what's playing on the current mood music. It's the saddest song in the world... a.k.a. the song they used to play at the end of the old Incredible Hulk TV show. Apparently this is the extended version - but it's just that simple tune over and over, first with a piano by itself and then funky saxophones that make it sound like a sexy sad song.

Stupid music... now I feel like hitchhiking.

There's an extended version of the song? Man, I miss those TV movies that they kept making. Hulk took on Thor man!

Not to mention pre-Ben-Affleck-Daredevil... if I remember correctly the professor from the show Sliders played the Kingpin. Good stuff.

It just always bugged me that he went by "David" on the TV show when every good fanboy knows that his name is "Bruce".

I'm so glad I wheeled back to your comment. I would have missed out on much inspired lunacy.

Stan Lee revealed that they changed the character's name (against his arguments) because the TV execs felt the name "Bruce" was too homosexual-ish. That's the only reason... weird, eh?

dude,

i totally read this article wrong...

i guess things went south when i read that you were @ pantera instead of panera...

that is a really sad song tho...

almost made me cry several times on any given friday nite thoughout the 80's...

i wonder if it would have been near as sad if pantera did it...?

oh well, we may never know...

i hear they're too busy hitchhiking...

What I never got is how in the cartoon when he became Bruce again his clothes were always whole, but in the live show his clothes reamined torn from becoming the hulk.

Yeah, but in the live version he somehow was able to stretch his pants from Bruce/David waist size to Lou/Hulk waist size. Must have been why sweat pants really caught on as a fashion statement... the Hulk wore 'em.

And why the affinity for purple? Purple pants? Really? Perhaps Bruce was the right name after all.

This talk is making me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
