this is my father's world

This is my Father's world,
and to my listening ears

all nature sings,
and round me rings
the music of the spheres.

This is my Father's world:
I rest me in the thought
of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
His hand the wonders wrought.

This is my Father's world.
O let me ne'er forget
that though the wrong
seems oft so strong,

God is the ruler yet.

This is my Father's world:
why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King; let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let the earth be glad!

Here's another insight into how Christians respond to the pain our world is going through, be it from the evils of men to the evils of the broken world. This is from C.S. Lewis (speaking as Screwtape, an older demon "coaching" a younger demon):

"Our cause is never more in danger than when a human, no longer desiring, but still intending to do our Enemy's will, looks round upon a universe from which every trace of Him seems to have vanished, and asks why he has been forsaken, and still obeys."

Thanks for the compliment.

As of today I am unemployed... yet very rich.

I pastor whomever will listen... and I am pastored by whomever I listen to.

Your blog rocks, too!

Totally a hymn with my own spin on it.
